## Puzzles by Mind Games by DGK

ANAGRAMS – Find another word using the Same Letters as the Given Word.  A Clue is given and there are 8 Letter Words (AIM8) and 9 Letter Words (AIM9).

EXTRACTION – Get out of the BOX.  Six, Nine and Eleven Letter Words with Definitions or Synonyms and all the Letters given in a BOX.

Geo 9 Math – ( 9 by 9 ) Grid with No Repeat Numbers in any Row and Column.  Groups of 3, 4, and 5 Cells ( Color Coded ) so that simple math can be performed on Each Group of Cells, based on their Color.  Ex: ( A – B ) = ( C – D ), ( A / B ) = ( C – D ).

Geo 8 Math – ( 8 by 8 ) Grid with No Repeat Numbers in any Row and Column.  Groups of 3,  and 4 Cells ( Color Coded ) so that simple math can be performed on Each Group of
Cells, based on their Color.  Ex: ( A + B ) = ( C x D ),  ( A + B ) / C = D, ( A – B ) = ( C / D ).

GEOMETRIC – ( 6 by 6 ) to ( 15 by 15 ) Grids.  No Repeat Numbers in any Row and Column AND No Repeat Numbers within Each Geometric Shape or Pattern.

HISTORY – ( 10 by 10 ) Grid with Numbers 0 thru 9 so any date can be created, like 2017 requiring a zero.  Five items are given: the space race events for example where the Date of the event is built into the puzzle and color coded.  If you know the Date, you enter it into the puzzle, otherwise you do the puzzle as always, with No Repeats ( Row, Column, Shape ).  As the numbers of the event are entered into the Puzzle Grid, those Numbers also appear alongside that event. As always, no guessing required, there is always a clue.

LATTICE – EIGHT WORDS, NINE LETTERS – Crossword Puzzle where the 2, 4, 6, 8 Letter Positions of all 8 Words Intersect.  A True Lattice.

KRISS-X-KROSS – Eight ( Nine Letter Words ) given in a Table ( 3 Horizontal, 3 Vertical, and 2 Diagonal ) The Words are inserted into the puzzle observing all the letter sharing.

LETTERO – Basically Geometric Puzzles with Letters instead of Numbers.  Therefore, No Repeat Letters and usually there is a Hidden Word in one Row or Column.

LINKAGES — Words are spelled by 1 Letter per Cell such that Overlapping Cells of 2 Links Share that same Letter for both Words.  A few Key Letters have been placed in the Puzzle to avoid guessing.  The Word List is given and Words Lined-thru as used.

MEMORY –  ( 6, 8, or 9  ) Numbers, Letters, Symbols, or Characters arranged in a given sequence.  You need to Remember and Replicate this Sequence.  The Original disappears when you enter the first Number, Letter, Symbol, or Character.  You must Remember the remaining Characters in the Original Order.

MISSING LINKS – Three Words with the Common Word in a Table and you put that Word back in the Puzzle.  Example: DOOR STEP LADDER where STEP is in the Table.  The appropriate spaces are allocated in the Puzzle for re-inserting the Missing Word.

MOVIES – ( 10 by 10 ) Grid with Numbers 0 thru 9 so any date can be created, like 2017 requiring a zero.  Five names of Movies are given for a particular Actor or Actress. The Date of the Movie is built into the puzzle and color coded.  If you know the Date, you enter it into the puzzle, otherwise you do the puzzle as always, with No Repeats ( Row, Column, Shape ).  As the numbers of the Movie are entered into the Puzzle Grid, those Numbers also appear alongside that Movie. As always, no guessing required, there is always a clue.

OOPS – Twelve 12 Letter Words with all the vowels missing.  A definition or Synonym is given for Each Word and you put the vowels back in the Words.

ORGANIZED DISORDER – Jumbled Letters in Color Codes Areas of the Puzzle Grid.  A Clue is given for Each Word and you put the Letters in a Color Coordinated Table to spell out each Word.

QUADRUPLETS – (8 by 8) and (9 by 9) Grids.  Geometric Puzzles with 4 Groups of Cells where Each Color Group has the Same Number in all Cells of the Group.  For Example: If you assign the Number 6 to a Green Cell, then all Four Green Cells contain the Number 6.  This is Additional Information to use in the Logic of maintaining No Repeat Numbers in any Row, Column and Shape.

QUINTUPLETS – ( 10 by 10 ) Grid.  Geometric Puzzles with 5 Groups of Cells where Each Color Group has the Same Number in all the Cells of that Group.  For Example:  If you assign the Number 7 to a Blue Cell, then all Five Blue Cells contain the Number 7.  This is Additional Information to use in the Logic of Maintaining No Repeat Numbers in any Row, Column and Shape.

RICOCHET – ( 20 by 20 ) Grid.  Word Search Puzzles where Words may collide with Borders or internal Barricades and Bounce ( RICOCHET ) at 90 degrees.  Many of the Puzzles have a GREEN  *FIND*  BOX  and if Clicked will locate the Current Search Word for you.

SEQUENCES – ( 9 by 9 ) Grid Geometric Puzzles.  Three Sequential Numbers assigned to Seven Groups of 3 Cells ( 1,2,3 ), ( 2,3,4 ), etc.  Each Group is Color Coded.  So you know what Numbers are in Each Group of Colored Cells but not which-cell-has-what.  However, this is additional information for solving the puzzle.  Also ( 8 by 8 ) Sequences.

SPRINKLED –  ( 7 by 7 ), ( 8 by 8 ) and ( 9 by 9 ) Grids.  Seven, 8, or 9 groups of Colored Colors in the Grid.  Colors are  *SPRINKLED* throughout the Grid.  Each Color Group has all the Numbers.  Again, No Repeat Numbers in any Row and Column.

TRIPLETS –   ( 7 by 7 ) Grid Geometric Puzzles.  Three Colored Groups of Cells with 3 Cells per Group.  The Cells of Each Color Group have the Same Numbers.

WORD PLACEMENT – ( 9 by 9 ) Grid.  Nine 9 Letter Words to be placed in pre-defined cell positions such that there are No Repeat Letters in any Row and Column.  A Letter or two may already be in the Puzzle to help you get started.

## GEO 9 MATH PUZZLES

The GEO9 – MATH Puzzles are a Standard 9 by 9 Grid with the Normal NO REPEAT numbers in any Column and in any Row.

But there are Colored Shapes, containing 3 to 5 Cells, where simple math must be performed to determine the Numbers in these Cells.  By solving the Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division within the Shapes and with the Rules of NO REPEAT numbers, one can solve the Puzzles.

The Colors of the Shapes are:    Orange:( Addition ),    Yellow:( Subtraction ),          Green:( Division ),             Pink:( Multiplication ).

Using 4 Distinct Color Shapes allows for mixed mathematical functions in one Puzzle.

## LEARN-HOW-TO-DO-PUZZLES

The Geo-8X, 9X, and 10X Puzzles have an added feature.  Some cells contain Red, Blue or Green Underlines.

Find the Numbers in the cells with the Red Underlines first.  All these can be determined with the starting numbers in the grid.

Then find all the Numbers in the cells with the Blue Underlines.  This can be done because you have added numbers in the Red Underlined cells.

Next, find the Numbers in the cells with the Green Underlines. Remember when you determine what numbers can’t be in a cell sometimes there is only One Number left.  Also, look at the entire Row or Column, and figure out what numbers are missing.  Some of those missing numbers might fit in only one cell.

Now, you can finish the puzzle.  As always, you never have to guess, there is ALWAYS a CLUE somewhere.
